Woman Sought in Killing of Vista Business Owner

Investigators say they are looking for 23-year-old Janice Macedonio in connection with Bodden’s murder.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a woman in the 2014 killing of an auto parts shop owner.

Ruben Bodden, 59, was found dead March 2, 2014 inside SBAJ Transmission at 1219 North Santa Fe Avenue in Vista.

Now, investigators say they are looking for 23-year-old Janice Macedonio in connection with Bodden’s murder.

Bodden's son, Brian, was a suspect in two high-profile murders in Libby Lake Park according to San Diego County Sheriff's Deputies.

Four teenagers were gunned down at the Oceanside park on March 13, 2013. Edgar Sanchez Rios, 16, and Melanie Virgen, 13, died from their injuries. The two other teenagers were seriously injured.

In June 2014, the District Attorney's Office dropped the charges against Brian Bodden.

In January, Crime Stoppers issued a $1,000 reward looking for information on Macedonio who has a no bail felony arrest warrant for murder.

Macedonio is described as 5-feet tall, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She’s believed to be armed and dangerous and may be in the Vista area or in Mexico.
